I hadn't seen their beer around in ages, and I think this was the first year that they missed the RDS. I wonder what'll happen to the site.

I presume everything will be up for sale to pay back as much as possible of the €1.6m owed to creditors.

I've never been to it, but I can't imagine the site has a whole lot of potential uses.

Site being sold with full planning for a distillery and visitors centre .

Yes, known about that one for awhile now. At least that puts paid to the whole "are they or are they not an Irish Craft brewery" question. Last I heard of them, they were threatening to sue Tom Creans granddaughter for daring to use his picture on her beer.

I was talking to some lads from Blackwater in Wexford at the weekend and there wasn't a huge amount of awareness of Jack Doyles, and no surprise that it was closed.
I do remember when he was starting out, it was said to me that he wouldn't last the distance because he was jumping on a bandwagon by someone who had visited the proposed brewery site
