Here here. We don't see enough English stouts in this country.

It was not the bitterness just that citrus hops I found did not sit well with the chocolate.

Yes, i would agree with that too. Would love to try more English stouts & porters too, have you had many Wobbler? really just Youngs & St. Peters ive had

Had Mackeson milk stout, found it very filling one can was more that enough

I've not had too many. Have you had St Peters Old Style Porter? Very good, but not as good as cream stout. I think the only other one I've tried which you haven't mentioned is Fullers London Porter. That's one of the greats. try it if you haven't already.

The brown malt really separates it from at standard stout
