How many Irish breweries in planning phase? 2 years 11 months ago #505

Anyone have any knowledge of Downtime Brewing? Allegedly based in Cork and they (Downtime) say they were pouring at Fran Well Easterfest. They weren't on the official menu/list and I never noticed them. Their beer is Mountain IPA.

They're a home brewery, though I suppose now that they've had a beer brewed under their brand by Original 7 they count as a commercial contract brewer. The mountain IPA ('cos that's a style now; thanks Odell!) is called Knockboy and it was in the Easterfest programme as one of the Original 7 beers.

Longtime contract brewer Brennan's has a production brewery planned for Wexford Town. Aiming to be open by Christmas 2023.

Last I saw, the Brennan's project had moved its opening date to January.

The licensing list has a new registered brewery in Athy: AS Mills, it's called.
