Anything to do with Cian Desmond of Barcino Brewery?

Hope Beer- were pouring (and pairing cheeses) at the RDS. A solid IPA, a good saison and a blonde that needs tweaking. Currently brewing at Craftworks but hope to have their own brewery in Howth up and running by March next year.

[b:32my70rb]<speculation snipped on request of Hope Brewery - TBN>[/b:32my70rb]I think we need to have a talk with Bord Bia. It's bad enough that they keep quoting 2012 figurews when talking about the number of Irish micros running today- but when they start talking about what the Irish consumer wants, they are seriously stepping on our toes.

Only seeing this now, so apologies for not replying sooner. Not sure what the connection is. There is a registered address in Blarney, but Website seems to have now disappeared. Will ask next time I am in the local offy.

Cian Desmond is the brewer in question, as there was a sign in the local off license saying he was the brewer and that he was local. Not sure if this is the same guy from Barcino, but could be. I actually think I know him, as think I borrowed a mash tun from him when I first started all grain. He was going off to college in the UK at the time, so maybe he's been busy since. I'll leave a Beoir card in the offy for him, next time I'm in, to see if he want's to re-introduce himself, and tell us a bit more about himself and his plans.
