I think it was just brewdog lager for a while. But any on the tour could confirm

Not that I'm a brainless BrewDog cheerleader or anything, but they haven't contracted out for some years, and Punk for even longer ago than that.

An Irish brewer brewing outside their own kit? This is the place to spill it, if you think the drinking public should know.

It's a reality and probably happens more than you think, especially when there are capacity constraints due to plant being out of action to facilitate a move or upgrade. Business continuity etc.

Good beer is good beer - Period!

We as Beoir members and consumers have a committment to support Irish Craft Beer/Cider producers [as defined by our constitution].

If a small brewery makes it bigtime and gets bought out by a big boy - so what - just enjoy the beer. If the accounts F$$k it up then don't buy it. If it stays true to the brew - drink it.

I have known a few friends who worked thir balls off since the mid 70's (when we graduated) starting up buisnesses. The smart ones sold the buisness for a load of money when it was offered and are now enjoying a rich retirement.

Others are either broke or dead!

Buy outs and buy ins are part of normal business.
Fair dues to any brewer who has built a brand and product that is desirable to one of the big boys.
The constant debate over the 'craft' definition tedious, dump it and move on.
Good beer is good beer - try and buy good beer from someone who you know is contributing to your/the local economy.
Locally sourced raw materials and labour is only one part of the picture. It would be nice to know that the brewer/business supports the local economy also.
