A nice IPA or APA would be a great addition. It's unusual that they don't even stock this in the bottle. I've asked for SNPA or Liberty Ale several times only to be met with a blank expression.

Strange. I've had a few SNPAs in Temple Bar.

So have I, and the Liberty Ale is behind the counter. I'll admit that I have asked and been met with a blank stare but then I point to the fridge as politely as possible. They also stock Goose Island IPA which is one of my all time favourites. It's like sticking your nose into a bag of hops. Amazing stuff.

I've had SNPA in Temple Bar but when I've asked in Porterhouse North they don't seem to have it - maybe it's a case of the staff not knowing what's being stocked. If it's a regular on their list it should be on their beer menu. The menu tells us how the US produces wonderful microbrews and then goes on to list only Coors Light (IIRC) for sale - a bizarre omission, especially considering the whole microbrew revival started in the US and the country still produces some of the most interesting beers out there.

Yumm - had a couple of pints of it last week, Really liked it. Would love to be able to make something similar....
Probably not something you could drink ALL night, but I did manage to knock back 3 in quick succession! <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->
