Labatt's, I think, make a 6% ABV Guinness which they call "Extra Stout".

I think this is intended as a cool, summer, by-the-neck barbecue Guinness. We aren't getting it 'cos our weather is crap, I bet.

Won't require a two part pour? What a technical breakthrough!

two part pour is just another guinness gimmick to make your average joe feel like a beer connoisseur. I mean they actually tell you what angle to hold the glass at. rubbish! It would be great if they spent a bit more time brewing tasty beer and less time with the self-mythologising. Especially all this guff about arthur guinness, the man was well dead before they even dreamed of brewing black beer. If they manage not to have compulsory shamrocks on top of the head that really would be a breakthrough.

sorry, I'm ranting.

ranting is what we need. <!-- s:evil: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_evil.gif" alt=":evil:" title="Evil or Very Mad" /><!-- s:evil: -->
