Ah yes - sorry we're running a behind! We'll get some kegs out to a handful of pubs from mid June and there'll be bottles on shelves from late June... We'll maintain a list of outlets on our website [url:1zzbi75t]http://www.eightdegrees.ie[/url:1zzbi75t] as we line them up.

For those that can't wait until then - we'll be serving up Howling Gale Ale at Bloom in Dublin over the June bank holiday.

Any chance you'll have any bottles at Bloom? My missus is going but I'm in Kilkenny for the Cat Laughs.

Actually, if you could just detour through Kilkenny on your way up and drop a couple of crates off at the Grapevine Bar on Rose Inn Street, I'd really appreciate it- likewise if anyone from Dungarvan, Carlow/O'Haras, Franciscan Wells, Metalman (if you guys are bottling yet) is in the area, Kilkenny is really dry of Craft Brews.

Excellent stuff Andrew - let us know what you think!

The batch of bottles (best before 13/2/2012) in shops at the moment was the same batch we had on keg at Bloom - interestingly the bottle conditioning has shifted the pronounced hop bitterness to a more fruity hop flavour. I'd be interested to hear from people that had both!

Our following batch of Howling Gale Ale bottles (best before 1/3/2012) that will get out to shops in the next two weeks will also be interesting for people to contrast ... Exactly the same hops, similar amounts but different timing on the additions.

Had a couple of bottles last night. Lucky me, the only place in Waterford selling Howling Gale is 200 metres from my work. I didn't take any notice because it used to be a Carry Out now it seems to be a small independant. And I picked up a couple of Duval presentation packs for €6.99 each on special. I had some HG at the Easterfest and thought the maltiness was more pronounced in the kegged version and the bottles are definitely more fruity. I thought I tasted Goldings in the bottled version.
