hi lads

adam, sorry only noticed your reply, thanks for that
thats what i (and swmbo) felt about the LT quad
it is very very sweet tasting, so phew on that one!

i was actually thinking that about the release of the westy..
that its not going to be so elusive after the brick selling
there are 9,000 bricks odd going on sale iirc
thats 54,0000 bottles doing the rounds and the bottles are
printed so they will be sore thumbs on the market

also, is there any fear that this w12 batch will be of a lower quality than usual? i wonder if they just "lashed" it out to get them out there or will they be true to the usual methods, they dont make anything like that amount usually, i wonder if they cut corners? or is it shocking to even think they would do that, considering their history etc,

cheers

This has been discussed on other fora and the view is that there is no evidence whatever that this batch of Westvleteren 12 will be any different to other batches. having said that, I do not intend to drink them for the next while!

Exactly! I just wanted to be the first one to say it; it was begging to be said.

Manneken-Brussels from Austin, Tex are taking some as well, but it will be a fraction of Shelton's allowance, iirc.

More than that even, Fourmations. It's 70k bricks for export, which of course works out to 420,000 bottles.
trappist-beers.com/monks-decide- ... 2-version/

A large part of that is for the continent, though, and I read reports that 60k bricks sold out in hours in Belgium in November, so it may still be hard to find after the initial rush.

Just arrived in Beer Club! On sale from today. Loving the buzz around this stuff I feel like I should put on a tie when handling it
