Cork just has that Rebel Spirit! Plus there were a couple of skillnet-led brewing courses held down in Cork last year which got the ball rolling for a few of those guys starting up.

Mountain Man, Cork = launches 21 June 2013 (at Franciscan Well, Cork)
Kinsale Craft Brewery = launches 28 June 2013 (at The Folk House, Kinsale)

I'd kill to have cans of decent pale ale at Electric Picnic.

I don't think so. As I understand it bottling (or canning) is a sore spot as bottling lines are expensive, and many have to send their beer off to the UK to get bottled. I think 8degrees has a bottling line, but only 330ml glass bottles.

There are a lot of opportunities for emerging businesses to support Irish Micro Brewing; Bottling and canning is one.

The Wicklow brewing company in Red Cross is another, they will be a brewpub.....
