tasting form 19 years 2 weeks ago #1

I often get stuck for words when tasting beer and also find it hard to remember what beers taste like after a while but recently found this guide for beer tasting. Here it is for anyone who has the same problem

As it happens, we already have an ICB tasting form which Séan, Níall and Kieron reviewed for me last week. I'll be putting the final touches to it soon. This was to be part of the awards process, and a bit of fun for members.

However, I was looking for something to help people think laterally when tasting. I did have a flavour wheel I used years ago, but can't find it. I may distill (or ferment?) out some of the tips on that form for users to use with our forms.

Stay tuned

This is what happens when we delay putting something out! Gah!

Boooo! I hereby reserve the right to get plastered and publish completely self-contradictory garbage about my opinions of beers I drink, keeping within a severely limited vocabulary. It's what keeps the debate alive. Or something. *Burrp*

I found that beer flavour wheel thingie for anyone that's interested. It's all a bit "biochemical" for me!. It's at:

Yeah, I think that was the one I had. The idea is to help people describe what they experience, just as an aid/stimulant/catalyst/whatever. Nobodt is being forced!
