Porterhouse visit 18 years 2 weeks ago #1

A brief account[/url:zozl3mzg] of the Porterhouse excursion has now been published.

If anyone else who attended can put together something more useful and technical please do.

By the way, Séan, what did the management think of your pale ale?

You b@stards. I'm really pissed off I couldn't make this - when's the next visit?

At the risk of rubbing it in, you really did miss out. We were permitted to roam and snoop around the entire brewery while being fed cask ale and porter.

I have some technical info but I'm not sure it'll suffice for an enitre article.

Btw, I met Porterhouse Dave again at Taste of Dublin yesterday and he gave me a stack of free pint vouchers for ICB members (our email addresses are worth far more than their beer, it seems ) I'll distribute them at the tasting next month, so if you can wait that long for your Hop Head you won't have to pay for it. The vouchers are also good for the other PH beers.

I don't know when Hop Head is going to the bars, but it tasted about ready to me.

It's a pity I only joined ICB yesterday
