Im sure a lot of you guys have heard about the real ale festival in weatherspoon at the moment it runs until the 29th march and at 2.40 a pint who can argue for cask at this price..

To keep things Irish I do see dungarvan stout listed...interestingly its being brewed at Wadsworth brewery to meet UK demand for the chain wonder how it'll go down

Was in the Derry spoons over the weekend and had Shipwreck IPA (Canada), Jester (single hop from Adnams), Golden Road (Californian coffee pale ale) and a black IPA from Devil's Backbone.

Wasn't too impressed with any apart from the Black IPA, although it was more of a hoppy dark ale. Only 4% but with a nice chocolate wheat flavour to it. Keeping an eye out for the Dungarvan stout.

The black IPA is "coming soon" in Dun Laoghaire, which is disappointing 'cos I really wanted to try it. Liked the Shipwreck and the Fort English IPA.

I had the black IPA a few times. As IG says, it's grand. Decent enough.
