Was in both Wetherspoons yesterday. The Forty Foot had Banks' Archer, Cerveceria Fort's English Style IPA, Mountain Goat's Hightail Ale, and Robinsons' Mojo. Next up will be Brains' Pocket Full Of Rye and Devils Backbone's Spider Bite. The Three Tun Tavern had Barley Brown's ESA, Lighthouse's Shipwreck IPA, Wadworth's Ye Ole Admiral, Caledonian's Merman XXX, Elgood's Spring Challenge, and Golden Road's California Breakfast Ale. There were also another 6 non-festival cask beers available. I enjoyed the Archer, English Style IPA and Ye Ole Admiral. Interesting to note that an all day Short Hop Irish Rail ticket, 9 x 1/3 pint tasters, a half pint, and the manager's steak meal special cost me 23.14 Euro. A return ticket to Lansdowne Road, Beoir discounted entry to RDS, and 3.5 pints there would have cost me 30.80 Euro, even before I got some grub. Just saving is all.

Was in The Forty Foot- had a pint of the Mountain Goat, it was okay, nothing special but then I don't expect much for €2.50. The rump steak was terrible and I've discovered where Wetherspoons are making their profit- €3.50 for a portion of 18 chips. Absolute rip off. Sure its cheap but I'd prefer to spend a bit more and have a decent meal. I was going to have more to drink but after the terrible food I didn bother.

Anything with chips in WS is disappointing. Curry club is ace though, as are the eggs Benedict. Washed down with a Sixpoint or Lagunitas brew.

I have very bad memories of "Curry Club" in Milton Keynes

I discovered it in that very WS on my way to Pearl Jam in London in 2010! The three of us were blown away that we could get a curry with rice, poppadoms and naan bread AND a pint for £5.85. Good times.

€12-ish here, with reduced portions. I notice that you get 4 poppadoms in the UK and only 2 here.
