Beamish Pint Bottles 18 years 1 week ago #1

i was in Hawthorn bar next to lough near U.C.C, where I came across pint bottles of Beamish. I had a pint bottle of beamish before but it was 2 or 3 years ago. Great to sample it while it is still in production. One of the great rare beers of Ireland.

Shame it's not widely available. If anybody known of other pubs which stock pint bottles of beamish it let me known in Cork or anywhere.

I've never seen it in the bottle - is it a different recipe from the draught? (as in Guinness Draught v Bottled Guinness)

similar to bottled Guinness carbonated

Actually, that'd make an interesting experiment too. Get the same group to taste bottled versions (where available) of the stouts and see how the prejudices stand up <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->
