Brooklyn Lager: €8.45 in O'Brien's 16 years 3 days ago #1

O'Brien's have announced[/url:loifn3ji] they're doing six-packs of Brooklyn Lager for €8.45, the cheapest I've seen it for a while.

Maybe I'll actually get 3 out of a 6 pack that don't nearly explode when I open them.... ;(

(It tastes good, but having 15% of it spill all over sort of detracts from the experience.)
-Yes, this is still happening on 50% of the Brooklyn Lager bottles I open.

It's all about preparation.

Have a pint glass ready on the counter, to the left of the bottle and slightly further back from the edge.

Hold the bottle with your left hand and a lightweight opener in your right.

Pop the cap in a single motion, allowing it and the opener to drop to the counter.

Let go of the bottle as soon as the cap pops.

Now grab the bottle with your right hand, while your left hand grabs and angles the glass.

Pour the gushing amber fluid into the glass.

Left handed people should read the instructions through a mirror.

Must be the problem; I'm left-handed. <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;) -->

Either follow Séan's advice or do what I do. Pop the cap and put your mouth straight over the top of the bottle, drinking the foam as quickly as possible.
