Can some body tell me the difference between erdinger okt and normal. usually frankiskaner is my favorite weissbier. But my local off license was selling 4 for 10 euro with a free erdinger glass. <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D --> . It does look a bit darker but i can't taste any caramel.

As beernut said... Slightly higher in alcohol and with little bit more wheatiness than its standard Heffe. Not as much banana on the taste or smell. Heavier than than its standard Heffe too but very drinkable. I quite like it this year!

EDIT: If you like Franziskaner i can see you liking this. Erdinger Heffe is quite a light weisse bier but its Oktoberfest is heading more in the direction of Franziskaner and the other heavier Weisse's
