It's Scary! There will definitely be casualties. To survive, a brewery will have to get the support of their area, and get pouring in their locals. There are not enough outlets selling craft to cope with the output of 60/70 breweries. Independent off-licences that would have taken anything Irish in the past are now culling beers based on the sales.

Any new brewerys will have to stand out from the crowd buy either producing exceptional, interesting, consistent beer or have a massive wad of cash and industry backing behind them that they can get their beers brewed and out in as many places as possible. McGargles are a perfect example of this. Questionable beer but they are doing something right.

Still lots of tap space that could be utilised if publicans and custimers are open to it l. Or maybe some form of pub Co-op between brewers to provide a regular out up for their beer.
