A lot of bars won't take that gamble though, not when they're being offered 5 figured sums and/or free kegs from marcos to keep other lines going in.

The solution is more outlets, not less breweries!

The county has about half a million people - roughly the population of Vermont, which supports 25 breweries.
Plenty of room left to grow.

I wouldn't pay any heed to company names. Manufacturers licences is the real indicator.
