I do love my Venison and some years am lucky enough to get a decent supply of it.
I think a good porter, dark ale or even a stout is your only man for a good venison dish.

I'd be thinking dark and Belgian. A good kriek would work too, I'd say.

Dark and something with forest fruit notes in it (juniper berries, sloes, plum, blackberries etc)
