I bought this book in O'Mahonys bookstore yesterday. It's a beautifully illustrated book focusing on beers from craft breweries worldwide and well worth a read . The Great Britain and Ireland section includes mentions for O'Haras, Dungarvan and Galway hooker amongst others and page 127 includes the recommendation "Find the best Irish beer information on <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="www.beoir.org">www.beoir.org"

Dammit I shouldn't have looked it up on Amazon. Three mistakes spotted in the first minute. I see they've followed BEER magazine's lead[/url:3ervv181] and put Trouble in the mythical town of Allendale.

But to be honest I don't think anyone has put in the money and effort that a definitive beer reference book requires. The market seems to be for pretty, glossy coffee-table books with wonky fact-checking and little or no citations.
