The nice people at Totally Dublin[/url:9apch094] sent me their recent survey; the results are quite interesting (the beer and cider stuff is near the end):

C&C are really getting their money's worth from all that Caledonia Smooth advertising, then <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->

Great to see Irish craft beer and cider brands holding their own against the global ones in this sort of survey.

It's great to see that nearly 10% of the people surveyed picked an Irish Craft beer as their favourite. And that Galway Hooker has been tried by 27% over the last 12 months- a testament to Hooker Brewery getting all those taps in.

It's a pity the beer results are in such a bad state, why wouldn't they order it?

I would love to see the real numbers for the amount of each beer consumed!

Very interesting, but caveat emptor rodders.

I presume the beers listed were the ones included in the question - so no Metalman, no Franciscan Well - did they only include brands that already advertise with them, or brands that use print advertising.

I also felt left out that they didn't even bother including the all-important 39-44 demographic!!

Interesing also that they include the price point for wine but not beer or cider.

Also the random picture of the Bernard Shaw!

I do like the magazine though but it has to be remembered the demographic it's leaning towards will skew the readers results survey. It's not for everyone.
