The dj works saturdays from 11pm.

Beer promo for local offices fridays, which tends to attract the younger of the species(21+), and theres uaually a mess where they go.

Sundays are a very good night as everybody is just chillin'.

Thursdays are hit and miss, sometimes busy, sometimes quiet, depending on which week of the month it is.

If you're heading here early some evening, shout me to hold a table for you.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for that, might take you up on that offer at some point. Now to figure out which friends won't embarrass me by ordering Budweiser...

Good Job B&C, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but if your place didn't exist, everybody would then be bitchin' that there's nowhere to go for decent beers anymore....
Anytime I head to Dublin from Kildare the B&C is always first on the list, I'v been asking my local bartender to think about stocking Irish Craft brews and I was saying he should head to Dublin to the B&C to see whats happening, says he's never been but HAS heard of it, I'll keep on his back.
PS. I love Trance music and anything for that matter..

Love Blarney Blonde, any chance of stocking Purgatory Pale Ale????

Finally made it in, having been meaning to go for months. Have since been in 3 times in the space of a week, which says something... Figured this was as good a space as any to provide some thoughts, both for the benefit of the management and anyone who hasn't made it there yet (precious few on this site, I'd wager). Anyway:

It's a beautiful spot, no doubt about it, but I do have to ask: what's the story with the furniture downstairs? I was in for lunch on Tuesday, and the tables seem to have been designed for kinda 1 and a half people on each side. Meanwhile the chairs have been designed for about three quarters of a standard arse. I know there are benches available downstairs too, but those chairs... does anyone find them comfortable?

Food was very good though - excellent chips, lovely steak sandwich, no complaints there. The dessert menu could do with being a little longer, and the ice cream had that slightly crysally this-has-been-slightly-melted-and-then-re-frozen feel to it (not to mention that it wasn't the most terribly generous of portions). To be fair about the length of the dessert menu though, I was in for lunch so I won't complain too much - I'd imagine its a bit more expansive if you're in for dinner.

Service started out very good, but kinda dwindled off just when we wanted to order dessert, and we must've waited a good 5 or 10 minutes each to be given a dessert menu, have our orders taken, and actually get the food.

The beer hall is utterly fantastic, range of beers is some orders of magnitude better than anything else I've seen on this island (which obviously goes for the range in the restaurant too). Rebel Lager is great, as is Galway Hooker, Westmalle Tripel, Young's Chocolate Stout, Clotworthy Dobbin... and some other stuff, which is a little hazy at this stage.

Anyway, it's fast becoming my night spot of choice, and €4 pints of Galway Hooker and Rebel Lager Monday-Wednesday is fantastic value, but if I do go back to the restaurant I'll be making very sure to pick my table very carefully.

I think there was some other stuff too, but sure that's enough to be getting on with.

Oh, also poor hand driers in the toilets, but excellent location. I think that's all the things I was gonna say about it...

All coments duly noted, i'm a fan of feedback.
