What ever happened to Goose Island here. When I got back from Canada in 2011, it was available in a fair few places, including Supervalu and Whelans Off License.
Haven't seen it anywhere of late. Last time I had it was Wetherspoons DL
Ah yeah, in fairness there's plenty of good alternatives out there at this stage.
I just found it strange that they were prominent and then seemed to just drop off completely here
It came to Ireland via James Clay in London. I guess it was when they stopped carrying it[/url:28e7xd8h] it disappeared from the market here, other than in Wetherspoon which has its own channels.
What's more interesting is that there is a 4.0% abv ("low point beer") version for states (Colorado, Kansas, Minnesota, Oklahoma, and Utah) that can't sell full strength beers via gas stations, convenience stores etc. They've done a really good job too. I've had lots of low point beers here which are crackers, something I can't say with the same enthusiasm for in Ireland.
