That's a shame. I had them down as one of the breweries on a learning curve but capable of great things. At least there are plenty of other northern breweries to take that space now.

It appears Clonakilty Brewing Co. is gone now as well.

Is there a reason there seems to be a few closing at the moment? Clon has been around 9 years. Is it fallout from tge pandemic or material and energy prices?

Yeah, I guess some were on financial life support from the pandemic and without that they would have closed before now anyway.

Porterhouse has been bought by Conor McGregor.
Very sad as their beers are good, but in my eyes, that's a closure.

Yeah, pretty much. I certainly won’t be giving them my custom now. Pity as they were the beginning of my craft beer journey.

Can anyone in the know (say TBN) is it the case that the plant has been acquired by that former MMN fighter but not the brand or pubs? Did i read right that Porerhouse Beers are now contract brewed in Kinnegar- or did I just imagine that?
