Last Friday while having a Goose Island IPA in the Porterhouse the unique pale green color of the Sierra Nevada Pale Ale bottle label caught my eye. It was on a beer mat, littered on all the tables and bar-tops. I thought it a little strange but continued drinking, understanding that fate had played a part in deciding the next round.
And at the bar I got a great surprise! The barman told me that they had got SNPA on draught just the day before and that it was going down a treat. At €5.20 a pint I quickly ordered 4, almost downing my own before bringing the others to my table.
What a pint! Slightly less potent in aroma and taste than the bottle, its still sweet and hoppy on the tongue with a light malt aftertaste. Beautiful...
