Now when I was a lad working on buildings sites cement came in 1 cwt bags ( 1/20 of a ton or 50 kg for you youngsters )
Twas nothing to unload a few tons fromn a lorry, the auld shoulders could manage a bag.
Nowadays thanks to "Elf and Safety" cement and other like things com in 25 kg bags!!
25 kg is about what E&S reconn that an average man can safely lift. After this its a two man job or needs powered assistance
A kilderkin conatins about 82 kg of liquid plus the weight of the container - awesome or what??
