How many Irish breweries in planning phase? 4 years 4 months ago #487

In case anyone missed it The Deer's Head in Belfast (formerly aether and echo) now has a brewpub with beers under the Bell's brand. Reuben and I were in last month and tried a few of their ranges; all pretty decent and can get a sample tray for a reasonable price - place was heaving and we'd been to a whisky fest so only stayed a short while. Nice pub aside from the beers - probably need it on the app too

Our Brewery is Hillstown/Get'er Brewed. I believe there was some falling out with Get'er Brewed and Hillstown farm, hence the name change. Modest Beer are using the equipment there as well.

Cheers! Is Hillstown gone?

I would guess they probably. Still a bit of stock floating around though.

New on the licensing list this month is Clandonagh Craft Beers in Rathdowney Co. Laois. They applied for planning permission in 2018 to convert agricultural bulidings into a brewery. I can't find a web presence for them as yet, however.
