Brewiks Micro Brewery Equipment 10 years 5 months ago #1

[b:34eyrurg]Brewiks Micro brewery Systems[/b:34eyrurg]

The dream of owning your own brewery or opening a brewpub or brewing your own house craft beers in your restaurant are now achievable with a Brewiks system

We are just back from visiting the manufacturers of Brewiks and we have sourced some fantastically innovative brewing equipment perfectly suited for micro breweries in Ireland and the UK

[b:34eyrurg]Brewiks is an impressive plug and play system[/b:34eyrurg], the brewiks system is based on a [b:34eyrurg]two system brewhouse[/b:34eyrurg], watch the video “Brewiks in action” on our Brewiks Video tab.

The main part of Brewiks is a mash tun and hot liquor tank, the second part is for lautering, sparging and whirlpool

[b:34eyrurg]The complete installation is already completed[/b:34eyrurg], all electrical and mechanical component are already connected. With three flexible hoses you connect the two vessels and you are ready to brew, it is that simple..

Mixing during the brewing process inside of the Brewiks system in a new [b:34eyrurg]innovative Patented System[/b:34eyrurg], which doesn't use a traditional propeller. One pump is used for the whole brewing process. This innovative patented mixing helps achieve exceptionally high efficiencies

Two heaters (total 14kw) in the base of the system power the brewiks 200 litre system, the heating elements are surrounded by thermo oil which ensures an [b:34eyrurg]impressive heat distribution[/b:34eyrurg]

The cleaning of the brewiks system is beautifully simple, inside the kettle is only one protrusion for temperature monitoring and this special nozzle system is easily removed. Cleaning the Brewiks is simple..

The same pump is used for mixing, for pumping to the lauter tun, for lautering, then the wort is pumped back for boiling and then wort is pumped back to whirlpool.

An impressive [b:34eyrurg]touch screen controller[/b:34eyrurg] is simple to follow, brewiks have built in a few recipes and the system guides you through the whole brewing process. All the valves on the brewiks system are labeled with numbers and the connecting hoses are labeled with letters and the computer tells you which hose to connect at which valve at what time and also if you need to close or open the valve.

An additional benefit is [b:34eyrurg]heat recuperation[/b:34eyrurg] for sparging. You connect cold water to Brewiks and water heats real time and you have hot water for sparging without any outer hot water system. This system is built inside the wall of the Brewiks system.

Another addition benefit is the [b:34eyrurg]pipe heat exchanger[/b:34eyrurg], which is also built inside the wall of Brewiks so practically you have all the equipment on the wheels and you don't need any kind of modification at your brewery. You only need electricity and cold water.

When you have completed your brewday, the Brewiks system is easily stored away as the complete system is on wheels and you don't need a lot of space. The Brewiks system is 300 kg. All made from high-grade AISI 304/316 stainless steel.

If your strike water is timer set to come on or heated from your brew the previous day then one batch of normal beer takes 5 hours to brew from start to finish and if you take the benefit of the pipe heat exchanger you can use hot water when cooling from the first batch and when you start your second batch you already have hot water and then this next batch also take 5 hours. When brewing this way you can make 400 or 1000 litres of beer per day depending on your Brewiks without any kind of problems in 10 hours.

Extreme brewing on the 200 litre Brewiks has been tested with 150 litres of water & 75 kg of malt. If you don't sparge you exceed gravity over 1.100 and you have around 100 liters of finished beer with 12 - 14 % alcohol. Higher volumes of grain have been used with success also

Brewiks system is a true [b:34eyrurg]“Plug & Brew system”[/b:34eyrurg] so you only need electricity and cold water. Everything else is connected with flexible hoses with standard connection so it is very easily to connect and use complete system. There is no need for any kind of installation needed at your brewery.

Brewiks Microbrewery Equipment

We have just returned from visiting the Brewiks Factory and spent some time brewing with their master brewers and learning about the company from the owners.

They have an honorable ethos towards their trade and it was a pleasure to brew on the Brewiks system.

Get ‘er brewed have a Brewiks 200 litre system arriving in our warehouse in a few days and we will soon have a Brewiks showroom which will host brew days throughout the year. Our 500 litre system is on order and will arrive in November this year. We will soon have a showroom complete with the best brewing equipment and we will be hosting regular brewdays.

We learnt that Brewiks have been working with stainless steel for 26 years and has fantastic quality control measures which we experienced first-hand. They have a design team that are working on some very exciting pieces of brewing equipment.

All the Brewiks brewing systems are handmade on site and every machine is tested prior to dispatch. The quality of the build is premium, all the components and the stainless steel are of premium quality, the thickness of the stainless steel is strong and robust and bought from Germany.

We brewed on the Brewiks 500 litre and were impressed, we managed to brew a big hitting DIPA at 9% and achieved 600 litres of wort into the fermenter, the Brewiks held 210kg of malt, a few points really impressed me not only the recipes that can be brewed on this machine but the main one is the simplicity of use. All pipes and fittings are labelled and numbered and if you follow the flow chart instructions it would be possible for anyone to brew beer on this set up thus making this the perfect option for brewpubs and restaurants.

The 500 litre system for Microbreweries can produce a serious amount of beer from such a small set up, minimal space required and the ability to double brew each day producing minimum 1000 litres per day.

The Brewiks is designed to be “Plug & Brew” and it is that simple!

Brewiks is well-insulated and the sides aren’t hot to the touch. The 200 Litre system can fit into the smallest of spaces too. It is compact and visually impressive, especially the brewiks tanks these have to be seen to be appreciated.

The real-time cooling through the built in heat exchanger was the quickest I’ve seen and the hot water can be collected to start your next batch, the batch we brewed cooled and left a tank full of water at 65 degrees, minimal heating for a few minutes and you are ready to mash in again. The heating system was rising 3 degrees every 5 minutes so after your first batch you can start the second batch within minutes.

The cleaning was very quick after we finished brewing, we cleaned the lauter tun during the boil time and after we placed the last of the wort into the fermenter we had cleaned everything down in 15 minutes.

The Touchscreen controller is fully customizable you can even calibrate it to recognize your touch on the screen. The system can be used on manual or fully automated and it is possible to upload recipes for customized brewing days as the system has an SD card option for updating.

New Brewiks Microbrewery in Tallaght, Dublin 9 years 3 months ago #5

We have just started an installation of a new brewery in Tallaght in Dublin

The first brewery in the Tallaght area in 250 years, the first social enterprise brewery in Ireland and the first Brewiks in the south of Ireland!!

We sampled some beers with their brewer today and can say we are very excited to see these recipes being turned into commercial beer.

We will be helping with the installation of the brewery and providing professional advise and ongoing support to help. We hope you support this new brewery and all our local breweries in Ireland.

A few pictures are on the facebook page, we will add more as we progress;
