25 Best beers in the world 16 years 4 months ago #1

Some poncy wine magazine has made a list of the best 25 beers in the world here
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="www.winemag.com/Media/PublicationsArticle/Top%2025%20Beers.pdf">www.winemag.com/Media/Publicatio ... 0Beers.pdf

They seem majorly biased toward U.s and Belgium beers. What do you think they gor right and wrong?

Bernardus Wit is nice. But it's not top-13-on-the-planet nice. And I can think of more than 20 beers that are better than Sierra Nevada Summerfest, including almost everything by Sierra Nevada.

Sierra Nevada Summerfest stuck out for me as a weird one.

What British beer should be included? Any Irish beer you would think would be good enough?

No, I can't think of a single British or Irish beer that I prefer to the best 25 beers I've tasted from Denmark, the US, the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium, with the [i:v7pmtvrs]possible[/i:v7pmtvrs] exception of Phúca, and even then I couldn't be sure.

Also, lists and rankings are stupid.

Denmark, the Netherlands and Germany seem to be ignored as well.
