They've started selling the 750ml bottles here in Toronto, I've no interest in buying one <!-- s:shock: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_eek.gif" alt=":shock:" title="Shocked" /><!-- s:shock: -->

I just got a 12 pack box of these, for $10.99. The best by date is on April 11( its April 6th), so thought i'd do a little research on it. Still couldn't pass up a $45.99 case of beer for $10.99, even if it is a bit odd. It has a sort of buttery aroma/flavor in my opinion.

When i read about it on beer advocate they said a lot of the bottles can be skunky dues to the clear glass, however mine has spent it's entire life in a cardboard box so i dont know if that comes in to play. Anyone else think it tastes buttery?

Still an interesting beer, although i wouldn't pay full price for it.

The buttery flavour is from the oak they age the beer in. You won't get any skunking if the beer has not been exposed to strong light (direct sunlight or fluorescent shop lights), so clear bottles kept in a cardboard case are fine.

I bought 2 each of the regular and the blond a while back up the north and tried em both...absolutely disgusting. Next time I head in for a homebrew tasting I'll bring them in if someone wants them as they won't be drunk here [img:809nnhag]http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a102/kakathustra/dead.gif[/img:809nnhag]

I have to admit I found this stuff terrible too, neither myself nor herself would drink it, I ended up pouring about 700ml of it down the sink.

It's a love it or hate it beer alright. My friend would live of the stuff but i find it horribly sweet and buttery. I wouldn't drink it for free
