This might help:

Cheers for that, good read. Seems like almost everyone has a blog now. I'm feeling left out <!-- s:wink: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt=":wink:" title="Wink" /><!-- s:wink: -->

I tried that over Christmas and thought it was fairly disgusting. Maybe if it had been chilled a bit more it might have been palatable.

I put in this topic having sampled a 330 ml bottle and had a second one fairly lately. Have seen 750 ml bottles in a couple of places in Cork lately for 5.99 euros. Price o.k. but definitely to big a bottle unless sharing.

It's definitely one of my favourite beers - one to savour over an hour or two rather than drink heartily. I like the caramelly sweetness of it, but I can understand how it also puts people off!

750ml would be a lot of it though, maybe I'll have to take a trip to Cork soon!

New member, old thread. <!-- s:oops: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_redface.gif" alt=":oops:" title="Embarassed" /><!-- s:oops: -->

I had a bottle of Innis&Gunn Rum Cask Oak Aged and find it fantastic.

Went out and bought some of the 'regular' Innis&Gunn Oak Aged and it's good, but doesn't hold a candle to the Rum Cask edition. Have searched trying to find source of the Rum Cask edition with no luck yet, but did find they had done several limited editions.
