One can't help but think tho, that with the "limited" distribution and interacting with "fans" through social media that they are mimicking the micros in an (cynical?) attempt to look genuine?

They're not trying to look like a microbrewery. They wouldn't have branded it as Smithwick's if they were.

I can tell you at least 3 of the locations on that list do not stock it: Gibneys of Malahide, The Leopardstown Inn and The Goat Tavern. In the case of the Goat Tavern, they were even more amused when I told them that they were on a list of stockists.
