Do breweries need to do more? 14 years 3 weeks ago #7

I'm not involoved in the deal so I'm not looking for a remedy.
I'm also not giving anyone bad one sided press, I merely related an experience and asked a question. If it's ok to point out the failings of the macros then it must be ok to do the same of the micros. It's a grown up world out there.

I think there is but not %100 certain - is it Dempsey??

Anyway,
If you are a visitor to this website then there is a nice front page about Beoir and our mission.

In order to get contact details of Chairman and Treasurer you have to look at the "What is Beoir" area and then follow the link "Read more and join"

Then you have to go to the bottom of the text to find the two email addresses

For the casual trade visitor I think we need a much bolder easire to find place for the trade to access information.

I would suggest a tab next to the Home tab on the top tab bar labelled "Trade Information" or such like

This would take them to a small compact page with Brewery Liason Officer contacts, Chair and Treas and the link to the brewery lists. Keep it simple as most people only click about 3 times before they give up on a site

Will

"Hi,im a bar owner and have been scanning through the net to find an alternative supplier as I am sick of dealing with Diageo as they operate a complete monopoly in my eyes and Im sick of their bully tactics.

I know I wont find a supplier with Bud,Guiness,Smithwicks etc but does anyone know of a supplier who provides for eg. Staropramen,Grolsch,Kronenburg, different brands of Stout....basically replacement brands.

[b:1i2oxgxs]I have contacted numerous breweries around Ireland supplying craft beer but frankly there response bar 8 degrees has been appauling which is disappointing because I really want to go down this route.[/b:1i2oxgxs]

Any info would be really appreciated!"

Seems my friend didn't have an isolated experience.

At a guess,as I am not in the trade, the surge of interest among the bar trade is causing the micro,s problems trying to play catch up.
